After a great build up of many fun drawing events, last week  the Cape Town 1000 Drawings exhibition was held at the Woodstock Industrial Centre. There was a fantastic turn-out and it took us at least 15 minutes just to get in the front door. If you didn't know already, 1000 Drawings is a wonderful concept - anyone can donate a piece of art, be it a doodle, painting, photograph - anything on anything, as they say, the only restriction is that it is an A5 size. Thousands of the drawings were donated, strung all over the building on washing lines and open for viewing from 6pm, an hour later the buying began, with many standing steadfast in front of their favourites, determined to put ownership to it first.
